Empowering Dreams: Brightpath Foundations’ Fundraising Journey for AHCT

As the founders of Brightpath Foundations, we have always believed in the transformative power of education and economic empowerment, especially for young girls who stand at the crossroads of opportunity and adversity. It is this belief that fuels our partnership with Avtar Human Capital Trust (AHCT) — a not-for-profit organization doing pioneering work to uplift underprivileged women through education, mentorship, and career-readiness.

AHCT is at the forefront of Projects Puthri and Nipuni, two powerful initiatives aimed at fostering career intentionality among 10,000 underprivileged girls every year.

  • Project Puthri focuses on girls aged 12 to 18, studying between 8th and 12th grade, helping them nurture ambition, self-confidence, and a clear vision for their futures.

  • Project Nipuni mentors young women between 18 to 23 years of age, guiding undergraduates from marginalized backgrounds to become job-ready and secure white-collar employment within three years of graduation.

Together, these initiatives are not just preparing girls and young women for jobs — they are building a new generation of economically empowered leaders who will contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.

At Brightpath Foundations, we recognize that change begins at the grassroots. That’s why we launched our initial fundraising efforts as community-driven initiatives, led predominantly by youth and supported by friends, family, neighbors, and local networks. Every dollar raised represents more than financial support — it symbolizes belief in a girl’s potential, her dreams, and her right to a brighter future.

Our journey has been deeply personal. It was inspired by a life-changing story close to our hearts — the story of a brilliant young girl from an underprivileged background whose dreams were curtailed by economic hardship and societal expectations. Her story ignited our commitment to ensure that no girl’s aspirations are compromised by her circumstances.

We are proud to channel our efforts toward AHCT’s mission. Through our fundraising, we aim to contribute significantly to Project Puthri and Project Nipuni’s ambitious goals. We believe that with the right opportunities, mentorship, and support, these young girls will not just survive — they will thrive, lead, and inspire countless others.

We are only just getting started. In the months ahead, Brightpath Foundations is committed to scaling our efforts, organizing larger events, and forging new partnerships to widen our impact.

We invite you to join us on this transformative journey. Together, we can help thousands of young women break barriers, achieve their dreams, and light the path for generations to come.

With hope and determination,

Shriya and Shruti Viswanathan
